Starting problems

Hi,

My 2007 Corolla Verso 2.2 Diesel, is having problems starting in the morning. I have attached a video to demonstrate the problem (StartingProblems.mp4). I don't think it is the Battery as I replaced it approx 6 weeks ago, although from my perspective it does appear to be symptomatic of a weak Battery. It only occurs in the morning after the engine has been idle for a prolonged period, once the engine has warmed up subsequent times it starts up fine.

If anyone can recommend a garage in South Manchester that would be great.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Chris

Unble to view the video as my download speed too slow.

In view of it being a new Battery, and I'm assuming it's correct size/spec, I'd first have a look at the Battery leads and the earthing.  A look costs nothing.

Sounds like the Battery is fine since it's turning the engine over fast.  My guess is it's fuel related, perhaps there's air getting into the fuel lines allowing the fuel to drain back when standing for a while.  Does the car have clear fuel lines?  If so watch them for air bubbles travelling along while the engine is trying to start.
