Remove and replace passenger side door

Hi All,

My aygo has been broken into - the only damage being the lock being prized off the door. I had a quote from a garage wanting in the region of £360 to put the lock back in, and weld a plate behind it so it can't happen again. However, having had a look on the internet, an entirely new door for the passenger side costs about £80/90. The existing locking mechanism still works.

Does anyone have any experience, or know anything about, whether replacing the entire door would be an option? Has anyone had any experience taking the door off their aygo?

Thanks in advance

Matt

as long as you take your time you will be able to complete the job,

the door is held on with bolts so everything unscrews, just 1 thing to remember

is you will need to make sure the waterproof membrane is fastened to the

inside of the door panel it prevents any water from leaking into the car

basically its a plastic / foam sheet that covers the access cut outs in the door

use silicone to fasten the sheet over the cut outs.
