Where Is The Thermostat Located?

Hi,

my brothers supra is a 93 L reg 3.0L non turbo import. The thermostat has been removed by the previous owner. Just bought a new one but not sure where it has to be fitted! can any one help on the location?

follow the lower radiator hose up to where it stops , it should be there.

be wary of the head gasket or pressurising if its been removed.

Thats great! thanks very much. he bought it and the heater matrix had a hole in it, and the guy who owned it befor had pushed a load of putty up in the hole! so presuming thats why he took the thermostat out.

unwise to replace the stat untill you change the heater matrix , it'll probably burst inside the car again.

Changing the heater matrix is a real !Removed! of a job as well :(

Guess thats why the previous owner plugged it.
