Electronic Vs Manual Boost Controllers

Gonna raise the boost now that im ditching both the cats from the car :D

Electronic Controllers seem the better way to raise boost but i hear that you cant beat a good old relief valve (which is a much cheaper option anyway).

Any opinions on this?
