:D Hi all, my ecu is supposedly been remaped from my standard 155 bhp to 170 bhp on my carina gti, what i want to know is can you reset a mapped ecu or not?, thx all TRIG :thumbsup: :D .

ERrrrrrrrrrr...

I am assuming if it is being mapped, it is not stock.... if it is not stock, then it depends on what you have.

What supporting mods have you done for the extra 15 bhp?

Hi m8, ive only got an induction kit, im not sure how exactly the ecu has been remapped though, cheers.

What year is your Carina? might only have the rev 2 3SGE in which case you will have 155bhp.... later Rev 3 engines had 170ish ;)

Hi jones, the hatchbackk has 155bhp and the saloon came in the 175bhp only:], so this is not possible jim?, was told by the seller that it got done when new by toyota, any reasons why this hasnt/cant be done then, i need to know, thx, kind regards;].

Stock ECUs are not mappable.

Hi m8, all i know is that it was toyota race team that did it, maybe they replaced the ecu with an uprated one:].

If that is what you have been told...........

I didn't know that the toyota racing teams were big on avensis tuning.... I also didn't know stock Avensis ECus were remappable... if only they had done that on the supra twin turbo :(
