Tyre Rub On Lowered T-sport

:help:

I fitted 195/45/16 wheels and tyres to my Yaris T Sport. No problem.

9 months later I fitted the official TTE lowering springs. Still no problem.

18 months after that, I fitted 205/45/16 tyres. Oh dear - driving over any large bumps or having anyone other than me in the car, the tyres catch the bodywork.

TTE in Germany say this can be resolved with a "bordering" tool, which is used to fold the metal inside the arches upwards. Unfortunately, neither my local Toyota bodyshop nor aftermarket specialist has heard of it.

Any suggestions?

if you had the right size offset wheel you wouldn't get rubbing,

all I can say is go back down to 195's

I believe if done properly, it shouldn't affect the outer arch look at all, just push the inner seam out further.

And I have a lowered T-Sport with 17's, and 205/40's and I have no rubbing what so ever.
