Hi

This is my first post and after looking through many previous posts, was wondering if anyone had any experience of running there Rav4 DVD engine on vegitable or cornseed oil? With the ever increasing cost of Diesel and the environment issues I was considering it, but believe there can be issues with fuel pump & seals on some cars?

Anyone have any experience or known issues?

Welcome to the TOC NewMik

Personally I don't think it's a good idea with modern common rail diesels!

Some people will tell you they have done it and good luck to them, however, your high pressure D4D fuel pump is a highly technical piece of kit that is VERY expensive to replace, personally I think its fine for an old fashioned diesel, but not a modern system

Yep Second what Kingo has said above....

You can do it but at your own risk of ruining the High Pressure Fuel Pump.....
