Hi guys

I have a Toyota Avensis 1.8 vvti 03 (old shape). This car has the problem of oil burning.

Can anyone advise of what the best (or recommended) engine oil grade is for this car.

Thanks.

SAE 5w/30 or SAE 10w/30 for moderate climate. Go for good brand, maybe Castrol.

I would use Millers XSS 10w40, or Toyotas own 10w40 semi...you may find it burns less than on the 5w30..

I run 10w40 on my TS 190 by recommendation by my local toyota dealer, it uses very little between services (touch wood) and thats taking it over 8,000rpm once or twice a day.

hello
i presume we both have the same engine even the shsapes are diferent.
in such a way i would use any reliable lube brand with good value (10w30)
