Engine Niose 1.3

Hi,

I'm new to yarisdom having swapped the Aygo for a 1.3 TR. I generally happy with my choice, but at 70 ish on the motorway the engine gets boomy, it goes at 65 or 80! Is this typical, will it go as i put a few miles on (only couple of 100) at the mo.

My 2008 SR 1.3 is also pretty noisy at speed, only complaint about the car.

Mine gets loud as soon as she gets to 75mph ish - (a speed of which is legal on the French Motorway before anyone remarks on it).

It's not awfully loud though, you can just tell the difference.

Thanks, Ive started putting V Power into it, it seems to help, the engines quieter and smoother

The 05 plate that I've just bought is quiet at 70 - you can't really notice any noise.

Perhaps there's a difference somewhere in how the cars are built?

The older Yaris has longer gearing, so at 70 the engines not in its noisey zone, but its getting quieter as the miles go on, Id recommend V power to anyone, the car picks up easier and smoother and there's more power at the top end.
