What PSI do you recommend for the wheels? The bugs keep coming back(reapearring) fwho knows from where. Alarm going off couple times a week , few times per night. Frustrating. I am really getting tired of this car! Such nonsensical things.... Alarms shoulnt need disabling imo.

I've just serviced my Yaris (oil & filter) for £7, the price of a (Mann) filter. I'd enough 0W-20 left over from the four and five litre cans of previous changes. Must do the g/box! -
I read, nearly all of those car-sharing clubs have died, through insurance problems.

Yes, the only time I’ve seen it activate very briefly on mine is occasionally nipping out of T junctions where you have the wheels turned and are accelerating quickly. until I got my seat position just right, I used to turn it off sometimes by hitting the button with my knee accidentally.

Not on my phone unfortunately, CarPlay takes over and no matter what you do with the phone volume it makes no difference to anything you get through CarPlay. the only thing that did make a difference was turning off the volume limiter on the phone. (The one that’s supposed to stop you damaging your hearing if you have headphones on.)

Likewise 👍. Even better once I’d lowered the tyre pressures from the ‘as supplied’ 39psi 😉

Hi all! worked for main dealer for 12 years, Gold Level Toyota Sales certified from TGB. Now with another Far Eastern manufacturer which isn’t really a patch on Toyota. Current 2021 RAV4 plug in owner, previously owned an Aygo Ice (2012) and Yaris Edition (2011) between wife and I. In-laws currently on a Corolla and gen1 Aygo - previously 2 Auris and Yaris and my own dad is in a 2019 RAV4. Prospectively looking to own a JDM Crown or MarkX. Stuart

well when I test drove the yaris before buying my excel it was not an excel model it was a lowest spec one that had a Key. Admittedly it was only a 30 min drive on the back roads but I really cant remember going "My god this excel ride is hard" when I got mine if that makes sense.

Hi, I have found a leak on the liquid pipe in my engine bay. Can anyone recommend a source of aftermarket pipes or is a main dealer the only option? I'm fairly certain the car is a NSP130 (2012 Yaris 1.3 5dr CVT) and part number 88706a. Thanks.

IIRC, the PDA was the only part of the TSS that was turned off by default. Mine certainly was, and I've never felt inclined to turn it on.

Found this which relates much to private ramps but the profiles are probably applicable to public ones too In line with the Highways Regulations, speed bumps must be no less than 25mm high and no more than 100mm high. It is important speed bumps are not too steep to ensure vehicles can safely pass over them. The maximum gradient recommended for speed bumps is a 1:10 gradient. https://www.theramppeople.co.uk › ... I didn't think I could find such interesting information on the internet, thanks for writing.

I'm really surprised by this. Was just talking about wading in an off-road post. I've driven through 25cm deep streams come rivers and at speed without any issues on my PHEV. Wading depth is 50cm I think as someone mentioned. But just thinking about it now it was in EV mode every time.

Messages reading out volume

I have said this before. The app volume is set by the phone app not the headunit. Look at whatsapp volume. -
Hi all, Picked up a 2008 Avensis which had a solid history, if not quite the looks to match. Hoping knowledgeable folk here can help me give it some love to carry on its life with me and look forward to sharing with you all. cheers!

Hello all, Newbie with an old question: I’ve picked up a 2008 Avensis and it comes with the sat nav head unit, but I would really like to upgrade to Bluetooth for my phone and USB for music. Reading around, I’ve already seen how I remove the head unit, but I have seen some crazy prices for a new replacement unit at £259. I don’t mind losing the sat nav and just getting a simple radio with Bluetooth, USB, and DAB. Can anyone point me to an easy to install and more affordable plug and play unit they’d recommend? Many thanks indeed.

When Toyota designed the IQ it was said the engine bay would accommodate the 1.6L VVTi from the Corolla.

Hello Craig - welcome to Toyota Owners Club. -
Won't hurt just to test and also turn off the predictive drive. Once uou know what it's is you can switch everything back on but pretty sure traction control turns back on next start.
-
That’s fine, I guess postage will be around £3-4. I will message you separately.

Ey up! I'm looking forward to learning about my new car from you folks! Cheers, Craig.
