    2011 Dcat White smoke problem

I've had an issue with this solution, engine light on and no lost of power. it seems that the dpf was too cold for the ECU. It happens only in cold weather and rain. maybe only the exhaust heat is not enough, it need the injection from 5th injector to reach the right warm. (sorry for my english, I'm french 🙂 )

    Auris coolant change

Ditto the above, assume dealer has not changed it, they will tell you absolutely anything to avoid so they don't want to do

At last... The new car is home!

Only done 500 miles in mine but averaging 64.6 mpg.⛽ Do you notice the drivers door speaker resonating? I've turned the bass down to -2 but it still happens unless I set the balance/fade to not use that part of the car so much

    12 v battery flat

Disconnect the car battery or DCUT fuse. Using a jump starter also means buying a new car battery.

    4th Gen Rav4 buying advice

Nothing wrong with it but I find it unpleasant to use when pressing on, I guess most hybrid drivers are prob more eco drivers than me as I like driving fast powerful cars that make lots of noise. Oh and I do like an auto, ZF8 is an excellent box and not far of some of the early twin clutch boxes. These CVT boxes may not be like the old ones (I wont pretend to understand the engineering) but the certainly behave in much the same way when you put your foot down. Some of that slipping clutch feeling may be less intrusive but its still there.

    4th Gen Rav4 buying advice

That what I suspected, WLTP wouldn't have been around when the previous generation was being tested. Thanks for clarifying. Its not great that vehicle MPG is listed on auto trader using 2 different testing regimes.

    Warranty is confusing

If one assumes it came with the 5yr warranty and it had been serviced twice in those 5yrs and not by Toyota and then you come back to Toyota on it's 5th birthday, I think this is what he's asking, will it get the extended relax warranty even though it had missed some of the services.

Marks on Rear Black Trim on Boot

I have same issue. Looks like water marks on rear spoiler but won’t come off. Washed car only by hand and has it three months. Will contact dealer.

    12 v battery flat

Buy a jump starter or take a cab.
  23. Pretty good I reckon I'd do worse as I wouldn't be able to resist the extra power available...

    Yaris Cross - EV mode

I did find if you're doing a lot of stop-start traffic and the engine never gets to operating temperature, or only spends a very short time at operating temperature, you will see more of these regeneration events. I was getting them more frequently while I was waiting for my windscreen to be repaired and averaging 6mph, but now I've gone back to using faster roads regularly I almost never see this problem any more.
