Looking for a yaris clean no hidden bumpz

Blimey, that's shockingly bad luck indeed. Back in 1992 when I was only 20 myself, I had been given a company car to drive from Telford to London in to go on a training course, but as I was leaving Telford, some plank pulled straight out of a side street on my left directly in my path as he was turning right from out of the side street, and it hit my car hard, causing me to loose control, drive straight across the road and hit a brick wall opposite, writing off the car I was in, which at the time was a 1989 Renault 21, just three years old. I was seriously shaken up and had to go to hospital, but was let out later with just minor injuries. Later that same year, I had another accident this time in my own car, where exactly the same thing happened again, but in a different place, and it caused damage to the front of my car. So that was twice in the same year to have the same type of accident. These things happen unfortunately, and I had an accident just last year when my last Yaris got written off due to being driven into the back of by another driver from behind. Even though I was not to blame, because I had made a claim on her insurance, I had to subsequently declare on insurance renewal that I had had an accident, claim, or conviction within the last 5 years, and this sadly has an effect on the renewal price for the next 5 years. I just hope your son is able to get insurance again for an affordable price following this accident, even though it was not his fault, he would have to go through his insurer to make a claim against the bus company, and that will increase his future premiums for the next 5 years. It may be possible to settle with the bus company without going through insurance, but I am not sure how you would go about doing that. In any case, on his renewal, he would have to make a declaration as to whether he had had any accidents, claims or convictions in the last 5 years, regardless of blame, and as he had indeed had an accident, he would have to declare that, or if the insurer found out he had had an accident and had not declared this, his insurance would be null and void. Before buying another car, it may be wise to speak to his insurer to find out what his renewal would likely to rise by due to this accident, even though not his fault - they may decide to hike the premium as he is deemed a higher risk due to having an accident so soon after obtaining a car. They work in strange ways insurers do, and my own premium got hiked last year following my claim on the third party, so it can and does happen - even though it was someone else's fault.

Cruise control and traffic sign recognition

Ashamed to admit it but the best driver display was on my Peugeot 3008 hybrid4 GT 300 (PHEV). It sat above the dinky steering wheel. The ergonomics and displays were great on that car. Shame about the drain train and a host of other major issues!

Cruise control and traffic sign recognition

Cruise control acceleration on my R4P is a function of which mode the car is in. If I put it in Eco, Normal or Sport. In sport the acceleration is relatively hard and breaking is left until last minute dot com. In Eco it takes an age to accelerate to the new speed.
  5. Hi everyone. Hope your all OK. Right my son got a yaris 11 days ago and we did all the insurance and tax so on . Then today he got T boned by a bus. so now I got to (or him as well) will be dealing with insurance ones now it's been many many years since I had to make a.claim and was hoping some you might have had the unfortunate situation to have had to claim . So he had insurance for 11 days. He will be claiming off the bus comps insurance How much af the insurance premium will he have to pay as the car is a Write off . So the excess he will get that back . I do remember that bit . What about the car can we ask them to get us another car or will they give us the money . He needs a car to work iv heard bad news regarding curtesy cars .as we do have another car he could use but it's my daughters car .(which he did Larn to drive in) Will that matter as he has another car to use or not . If anyone can add somthing I might not added or thought of plz let me know .
  6. Looks like I'm either going to go insane, or, I'll be driving at 26mph in a 30 and 64mph on the motorway. FFS but may be that's a good thing. Apart from when it doesn't recognise the signs properly. I'll just have to remember to disable the audio warning if going on a long trip.

    Rust and warranty

I strongly doubt that this damage would be covered by warranty - that only covers manufacturing defects in the paintwork that lead to corrosion. They would argue that you have driven over rough road surfaces and the wheels have thrown up stones which have chipped the paint and allowed corrosion to set in. That is where mudflaps would help if you could consider getting them fitted - they do prevent stone damage to lower doors and sills. Either, as others have said, contact a mobile chip repair technician who will come to you and repair the damage, or simply go to Toyota parts department at your local dealers and get some touch up paint - better from the dealers than Halfords as you will get a better colour match. You will also then have the paint handy to cover any future paint chips before the rust sets in. Get some rust treatment such as Kurust and apply that first to prepare the damaged area for the touch up paint - do not apply touch up paint directly on top of rusty metal.
  8. The main problme is judges .MPs and high end Lawyers barristers DONT LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD . Judges think that every one has an armed copper watching them MPs don't live in these housing estates. Barristers think never deal with drunks thugs In the street only when in courts an there nice as pie so they get them off . Prisons are not been built prisons are been run by brain dead lefty who again want to be friends with everyone if you kill some one you say your sorry they believe you ...again nice as pie here what they want to hear. Crimes no face no case WTF you can have some one with same clothes build marks on there arms hands (tattoos) camara footage but can't see your face not me ok free to go WTF . We can't put you in prison cos you have 10 kids . Even tho you glassed some one suspended . Can't lock you up cos we have ppl who don't pay there TV licance . In prison you have your own cell TV food xbox own clothes unlimited drugs .an must be called by what ever you fancy that day . I can attack you but you can't attack me ill have you arrested. Police can't arrest you cos some fast track wants you to be nice offer some T an bicys can't arrest some scumbag on a bike incase falls and hurts himself. When the police do arrest charge onto court judges let's them off suspended..why would the police bother. why the police do so much car policing as easy .why waste hr and hrs paper work doing all the work then scum walks free .. Crime prisons police judges are the main problme police can't arrest as won't go to prison judges won't lock them up all stems back to crime judges police prisons do gooders.
  9. Get your dealer to install - BE-00734T-TME, I had this on my current Yaris Cross, once this was done the system behaves itself most of the time, just the occasional glitch due to misread signs but significantly better than it was. If it does glitch it sorts itself at the next sign, not perfect but 90% better.

    E10 Petrol / Protector

I've recently bought a 2007 Avensis estate 2l d-vvti which I believe is the 1az-fse engine and not compatible with E10 petrol. I have put premium in but wondered if I can use the E10 together with Wynns Specialist E10 Protector as it states that it is for ALL petrol engines? Can anyone advise on whether this would be OK or taking a risk? Have no history on the car so not sure how well its been looked after. Thanks
  11. Oh my goodness Iain! What terrible luck. Hope things all work out in the end.

OK - the sat nav facility in a Yaris of that vintage would be a separate module rather than just software.

  15. Crime has risen massively over the last 14 years indeed. One of the biggest causes has been the austerity drive and benefit sanctions which has left people destitute, and willing to commit whatever crime necessary to get money, usually for drugs. Cuts to just about every area of public services in the never ending drive for privatisation has left the country more like America now than I have ever known. Normally I dont like to come on forums like this and discuss politics as things often get heated, but car crime, thefts, burglary and vandalism has ballooned since the last Labour government left office in 2010. People have one option - vote the current government out at the next general election, or continue the status quo. Labour is not the be all and end all either - look at the LTN's and anti car policies brought in by London's mayor, and a future Labour government is likely to be more anti car than the Tories. Either way, the life of the common or garden car owner is going to get more and more difficult and costly whatever government we have in, all as part of the net zero agenda. The powers that be will not be happy until we are all going everywhere on public transport or riding there on a bicycle.

Looking for a yaris clean no hidden bumpz

Hi all I like to thank you for helping me to find my son a new yaris . He is OK. Well I'll have to start AGAIN . As today 7th he was coming home from work around 510pm and was T boned by a bus . The driver failed to stop at the junction and plowed right into the drivers side from front wing to back wheel all shoved in. as the bus is but higher than the yaris it missed the sill and hit the door full on . It was a clipper type bus bit bigger than the mini bus type . We had the phone call off his boss about 5 to 10 mins later as one the woman who works with him was just across the road pickingnup her kids from day school she called her husband who called my sons boss he arrived and help to get him out the car with other ppl bus driver helped too he was very shocked an shaken up he said he just wanted to drive off for some reason he couldn't explaine why so they helped him out as my sister lives at.the top of the road that the bus came out off. I called her to go down and help . So we are now back home hes home had somthing to eat and he's went to bed .. He's not hurt no marks cuts bruises. He going to have tommow off 11 days he had that car just filled it up with gas . So we got all the insurance stuff to sort out now . So looking for clean yaris no bumps AGAIN .

    Roads

The A5 through North Wales is a lovely road with a lot of stunning scenery. It is very busy in the summer months but I personally like to drive it in the autumn because of the lovely colours and it also a lot quieter.

You are probably correct, I have read this STUPID rule on a few sites now.

    Yaris Cross Fuse Box list

Graham Conway, Managing Director at Select Van Leasing has warned that if you’ve got a dash cam hard-wired into your vehicle - rather than simply plugged-in to your car’s cigarette lighter socket or USB port - you need to notify your insurer. I've also seen insurance companies may regard a hard-wired dashcam as a modification and one plugged in as an accessory.
  23. “Woke” “Starmer” “birch…” Good God🙄 Root cause analysis may actually turn out to be lack of funding and massive cuts in the education system, probation, prison service, police service, the court system, social services, drug education and youth services for the last 14 years. Yep, let’s not bother with preventative methods or even rehabilitation eh? Yes, let’s just hang everybody again eh? Marvellous country to live in…🤪

    Roads

I find a lot of roads that were bypassed or rendered redundant by motorways are some of the nicest - They're usually scenic, or at least 'quaint', and usually a bit quieter as everyone uses the newer faster roads, although you often have to contend with other people thinking the same thing (Which is okay when it's people in faster cars, but less so when it's a hoard of bikers or worse bicycles or worse that one guy who has a horse drawn buggy who always seems to pick the same random country backroads I do! )
  25. Hi Ash,a rattle in your 2018 Estima specifically when in D with your foot on the brake can be caused by a few things. Loose interior parts, since the rattle disappears in neutral, it likely points to a loose component in the dashboard that vibrates more when the engine is engaged in drive. This could be trim panels, loose screws, or even something in the glove compartment. Engine vibrations, though less likely, the engine vibrations might be amplified when the car is in drive and putting pressure on the transmission mounts. A worn engine mount could magnify these vibrations and cause a rattle in the dashboard. Heat shield rattle, heat shields around the exhaust system can sometimes come loose and rattle. This would be less likely to be affected by the gear selection (D vs N) but could be worth checking.Press on different areas of the dashboard, try gently pressing on various parts of the lower dashboard while the car is in D with the brake on. If the rattle stops when you press on a specific area, it might indicate a loose panel or component. Check for loose items, make sure there are no loose objects in the glove compartment or other compartments that could be causing the rattle. Look for any visible gaps or loose screws in the dashboard panels. If you can't find the problem speak to a mechanic. they can pinpoint the source of the rattle more effectively. Mention the car's behavior, tell the mechanic that the rattle only occurs in Drive with the brake on and disappears in Neutral. If you've had any recent work done on the dashboard or engine, mention that to the mechanic as it might be related.Hope this helps
  26. Actually, the MPS has been just that for decades. Back when woke was something you did some time after falling asleep 😐
