Alarm going off often and randomly?

Hi, alarm can go off when you have low 12v battery too. You can measure this with simple volt meter and when the car is unlocked and you get access to the battery should be at least 12.2v or ideally 12.6v if anything lower then best to recharge with a smart charger. For the tyre pressure best to double check on the door label. On my car is shown 2.3 bar front and 2.2bar rear. This is pressure on cold , checked before driving off and before sun sees the car, as these two can change the pressures significantly.
  5. Changing the subject slightly, I have found out something today which borders on the ridiculous with the MY24 car compared to my MY20 Launch Edition! The Red Baron never had the PCS part of the safety system so occurrences such as those described by @Cyker regarding braking hard, never seemed to occur during normal driving. However, if the ACC was active then under certain circumstances, these kind of events could happen on occasion. With Blue Demon, it would appear that if you decide to switch off the PCS system, then this immediately disables the ACC but you can still have normal cruise control if you want!! Why? Why link the PCS in software with the Adaptive part of the Cruise Control? It's no problem to use the Radar separately for both functions so why do this??!! Absolutely bonkers Toyota!!!

    Brake booster/servo unit

Thanks for the replies, they've been most helpful so far. Anyone know if I can have my brake booster serviced/repaired by a technician rather than buying a new one?

    DRCC acceleration settings.

I live half way up a mountain in Scotland, nearest town 35 miles away. I decided to try driving my Seat leon home one day without touching the pedals. I did it successfully. Pretty chuffed. The Seat version was easier and more configurable than the Swace. I do miss that.

    Wireless android auto.

I have a MY24 Corolla and a Samsung smartphone. I have AA working both wired and wireless. Wired was easy. Wireless less so. I had already connected my phone by Bluetooth and I followed the instructions in the Multimedia manual (because it wasn't completely intuitive). At first I was getting 'connection failed' messages on the Multimedia screen. I was struggling to work out what I was doing wrong (I have never had wireless AA on a car before) but, for no apparent reason, it eventually connected. Since then it connects automatically without any problems every time I start the car.

    Anoyng beep noise when driving

It's the seat sensor detecting weight on the seat with the seatbelt not being used. I first noticed this when i put some shopping on the passenger seat and like you the beeping started after i set off. So, as already suggested, if you place any weight on a seat, you have to buckle the seatbelt to avoid beeping.

Alarm going off often and randomly?

What PSI do you recommend for the wheels? The bugs keep coming back(reapearring) fwho knows from where. Alarm going off couple times a week , few times per night. Frustrating. I am really getting tired of this car! Such nonsensical things.... Alarms shoulnt need disabling imo.

Full service at 16150 miles on YCZ

I've just serviced my Yaris (oil & filter) for £7, the price of a (Mann) filter. I'd enough 0W-20 left over from the four and five litre cans of previous changes. Must do the g/box!

    Yaris won't accelerate sometimes

I read, nearly all of those car-sharing clubs have died, through insurance problems.

    Momentarily Loss Of Power

Yes, the only time I’ve seen it activate very briefly on mine is occasionally nipping out of T junctions where you have the wheels turned and are accelerating quickly. until I got my seat position just right, I used to turn it off sometimes by hitting the button with my knee accidentally.

    Messages reading out volume

Not on my phone unfortunately, CarPlay takes over and no matter what you do with the phone volume it makes no difference to anything you get through CarPlay. the only thing that did make a difference was turning off the volume limiter on the phone. (The one that’s supposed to stop you damaging your hearing if you have headphones on.)

    Excel vs Premiere Edition

Likewise 👍. Even better once I’d lowered the tyre pressures from the ‘as supplied’ 39psi 😉
  26. Hi all! worked for main dealer for 12 years, Gold Level Toyota Sales certified from TGB. Now with another Far Eastern manufacturer which isn’t really a patch on Toyota. Current 2021 RAV4 plug in owner, previously owned an Aygo Ice (2012) and Yaris Edition (2011) between wife and I. In-laws currently on a Corolla and gen1 Aygo - previously 2 Auris and Yaris and my own dad is in a 2019 RAV4. Prospectively looking to own a JDM Crown or MarkX. Stuart

    Excel vs Premiere Edition

well when I test drove the yaris before buying my excel it was not an excel model it was a lowest spec one that had a Key. Admittedly it was only a 30 min drive on the back roads but I really cant remember going "My god this excel ride is hard" when I got mine if that makes sense.
  28. Hi, I have found a leak on the liquid pipe in my engine bay. Can anyone recommend a source of aftermarket pipes or is a main dealer the only option? I'm fairly certain the car is a NSP130 (2012 Yaris 1.3 5dr CVT) and part number 88706a. Thanks.
