Loud Noise When Braking

my x-reg corolla makes a loud banging noise when i brake in the snow when the ABS cuts in but ive had the brakes checked and there fine, any ideas

It's perfectly normal although the first time it happens it can be a bit worrying

sliding on the ice , so as long as the sound isnt followed by a loud bang (lampost) you will be fine

im lucky i have a work van , bent a rim on the kirm last winter but the rolla live in her garage most of the winter.
