When I bought my TS the other day it came with one grey key and one black. Is it a simple matter to get another black one from Toyota?

Simple? Yes. Expensive? Also yes I'm afraid.

Mr T will happily program you an extra key, but he'll charge you upwards of £100 to do it...

the dealer will charge an arm and a leg, they usually do for things like keys even though i don't think it takes them as much effort to cut they key/program it as they charge.

a large independant place may be able to do it for you. i know recently one of my friends had 7 spare keys made up for his fleet of takeaway delivery vehicles. those keys were remote central locking and immobiliser built in. ok i give you the key fobs are ugly as hell but when it's a spare key, and more important it works and is much cheaper than the dealer i don't think anyone would really care?

where abouts are you in the country? we're up in west yorkshire if you're near here...

Main Dealer wanted £145 to supply me with a new key for a Corolla and programme it.

Could not find an alternative supplier / E Bay so had to go ahead. Hope you find a cheaper alternative.
