Auris 2.0 D4D 6 Speed Manual

Hi all. Just bought a late 2007 auris 2.0 d4d tr with 40000 miles on the clock from a Toyota dealer a few weeks ago. I think the car is brilliant compared to my very unreliable fiat! One thing is concerning me however. I have noticed 1st gear whines when accelerating, and when slowing down in 2nd it also whines, only when foot is off the gas. I have little knowledge regarding cars, however is this normal for the auris? There is no crunching or grinding in gears and the box feels good. Car is booked in on Monday at the dealer they can have a look. Any advice or experiences much welcomed!

I have a similar car with 50k mile. I dont have any significant gearbox noises so Yes get it looked at.

Remember that the garage has to fix it, so stand our ground.

COuld be a clutch or release fault.
