Had my auris air con service done yesterday I hadn't used it in a year and went to use it and it wasn't working . The man that done it said it was empty and done a full test and said if u don't use it once a week the seals dry up and the gas leaks there's a little lessions to learn here I always kept it off as people say it hurts your mpg . Tut to that I'm for using mine from now on

I'm having mine serviced this Thursday. But I am one for always having the air con on auto. It's never off.

I have done full tank tests and with the air con on auto, I found I ran only about 30 miles shorter than with air con off.

It is well known that if you dont use a car's A/C it will fail quite quickly.

I use A/C continuously in my last four cars over the last 10 years and have never had A/C failure.

Get it serviced when required and use it regularly and it will last.

I found minimal difference in mpg is using A/C and turning it off.
