Gearknob Removal

got a new genuine gearknob as the paint on original had flaked off, how do i go about fitting it does it screw off?

Is your car manual or MM-T? I only know that MM-T knob can be removed by !Removed! off.

Unscrew it off, counter-clockwise; even at automatic transmission, knob can be removed in the same way...

the only thing is the replacement doesnt have any kind of thread internally i can take a picture if required, however ill try removing it carefully if it wont budge then i wont force it

changed gear knob and can confirm it simply screws off, the new knob is a big improvement never noticed it was leather the old one was a horrible fake plastic
