My Lucida's Acceleration Drops Off When Hits 48Mph

Hi, i am new to these forums, so please bear with me.. I am on my fourth lucida but this one has a problem i just cannot work out.. Acceleration does not seem to be right with this one. The pick up is not as good as the ones i have owned before. And when i get to about 48mph the acceleration is worse and takes an age to get up to speed, even if i put the pedal down further.. Sometimes i get some slight juddering but this is not all the time.. I have done the usual and checked the turbo pipes and all is well. The turbo seems to work ok as i can hear the slight whistle form it. I have also blanked off the egr at both ends, ive serviced fluids all over, and replaced the rusty transmission pipes. Still the problem is there.. I do suspect maybe the fuel pump but all runs well when idle. I did also think it could be a faulty turbo pressure sensor... Before i go stripping down anything else, i thought i would scratch some heads and see if anyone can come up with anything as i am sure someone has had this problem... I have no overheating issues or anything like that and no smoke from the exhaust to suspect any head problems as the engine were rebuilt before i bought the bus.. All runs well apart from this little problem and it is bugging the living daylights out of me....

Also i have the common problem with the carbon brushes worn out on the blowers. I have been to my local appliance shop and he states carbon brushes like the ones i need have not been made for years. Toyota do not seem to have a clue and do not have replacements, they want to try and sell me a whole new motor.. Does anyone do these replacement brushes or anything thats updated to replace them if they are no longer made, cos i am screwed without my blowers.. I also need a pollen filter?? or filter that goes in front of the cooler, as again toyota do not do them.

regards Rob
