Ventillation Grille On 2001 / 2 Vvti

I was given a satnav recently and would like to have it located on the holder which fits it to the ventillation grille on the dash, rather than to have it on the windscreen. In trying to take the holder off, the horizontal grill slat cracked and snapped off.

Three questions : is it possible to get replacement second hand grille units (there are two of them, side by side in the centre of the dash) from a spares shop or a scrapyard? How does the grille unit come off the dashboard? And does it 'pop' out with encouragement from a scewdriver or something, please?

Otherwise it's superglue and the chance that I may be attached to my car for a lifetime!!

Just bumping the query back to near the top : don't want to damage the dash trying to get something off which shouldn't come off, if you see what i mean.
