Love the car, cant wait to see the lowered pictures. Not a fan of stretch tyring, just not my thing. The green paint I think goes back to a year that Audi decided to go all 'Goodwood' on us. Not many around at all.

What size wheels and tyres are on the iQ?

I recently got myself some OZ Racing F1 wheels from eBay in 7" x 17" with an offset of 42mm. I've only tried the wheels on the car so far as they have no tyres but look like they will fit. :)

Hi, they are Wolfrace Shark 7"x17" with an offset of 39, Tyres are 205/40/17.

If any one is interested the Audi has BBS - Rear 10"x17" 225/45/17 and the Front 8.5"x17" 215/45/17.

Cheers, Yours are slightly wider offset then than mine but only 3mm in it. Good to hear they fit. :)

I was going with the MINI size tyres at 205/45 17 as the rolling diameter is identical to my current 16" wheels. Was there a reason for choosing the 40 profile, clearance problems perhaps?

Hi Craggle,

No, no reason for the Tyre size, I bought them as a Wheel/Tyre package and that's the size they came in.

I have checked the offset and I know that I can fit my 35mm lowering springs without any issues.

That's good to know. I'll go with the 45 profile I think and I have the Eibach 25mm lower springs fitted so I should be good. :)

Just need to get the wheels refurbished, buy new wheel nuts, buy the spigot rings, buy the tyres..... This could get expensive....

Try the Nutsandboltsshop on eBay, I have had a lot of help from them in the past, they sorced special Spigot rings from Italy, bolts, fush valves etc for the set of 7"x15" OZ Wheels I had on my IQ before.

I refurbished them my self and saved a lot of money, I bought an Alloy Filler for the chips and sratches sanded then primed and then spraying gloss black, all the stuff was sourced from eBay. Take a look at this Youtube clip of my IQ with the wheels on a couple of years ago http://youtu.be/Xy9bzQp1E80

Hey buddy, i think what you have done to your iq is awesome! it ;looks damn fine and i will be improving mine!

can you tell me how the ride differed when you went from 15" to 17", was there much loss of comfort? also how much was your backbox? nd where did you get it from? sorry to badger you but i've yet to collect my iq2 and ive been scouring the net for tuning/styling suppliers....wheels and springs are sorted but just needed to know about the ride.

cheers buddy

Hi Pritesh,

Sorry its taken so long to get back to you, I havent been on here for ages.

I lost a little ride quality going to 17" wheels and tyres but its still a good ride with the IQ suspension being quite soft.

I have lowered the car since by 35mm all around and I was very suprised that still the ride is very good but the handling is transformed its like a gocart now.

The exhaust is just a stainless Steel tail pipe.
