Exhaust Plan

Do you guys think that my planned exhaust would be too loud? (SW20 GT 1990)

It would be a 3" splitting in to either two 2" or two 2.5".

Forgive the crude drawing.

(P.S. Does anyone in kiwiland know of any good performance tuners in auck that have experiance with MR2's?)

For our anal laws yep...to loud :(

Put it this way...on my 1990 GT I had 2.5 inch from the flex-pipe back into a single canon style RPS muffler & I only got mine wof's because I had a good mecanic, had I still owned the car today Im sure I'd be had up for it.

Cheers

I think I've got 4" pipes that split into two cans ..with 4.5" tail pipes ..

and it's a bit quiet ..

And if I had no problems getting a WOF? :) Bare in mind I wouldn't have any actual muflers in the system... Would I attract attention from the cops?

Even if you get a wof the bacon can pull ya up and pink sticker you regardless of your wof :(

I used Pitstop here in Wgtn with my Gen II one and they did a great job...depends on the branch though...some are better than others :)

I'm an apprentice mechanic in auck, so I know all the good people for cheap :)

Those RPS mufflers don't have much sound deadning, my plan would sorta have 3x

the noise reduction of a single muffler. (I hope...)
