04 2.0 D4D Gearbox Question

Hi All

I looking at a 04 D4D with 5th gear gone,

If I located a 6 speed box would it be a straight swap, would I need to change anything else, leaver/linkage ect???

If I located a 6 speed box would it be a straight swap, would I need to change anything else, leaver/linkage ect???

You will struggle with a few things-

1- the bell housing are different so they wont mount with the engine block.

2- the new gearbos are hydralic and not flyby

3- not suited to the car eg gearing.
