P2112 Code, Throttle Body Replacement

Hi everyone,

I have a 09 plate 1.3 VVT auris with 70K miles, the start stop kicked in two days ago when I engaged the clutch the engine restarted fine until I pressed the gas pedal, the engine stalled and wouldn't restart for awhile. The check engine light came on, took it to dealer who said read the p2112 throttle stuck closed code, saying i need to change the throttle body at a cost of over £1000.

Any advice or anyone had a similar issue ? Does anyone know how to find out the part number for the throttle body, I am thinking of sourcing a second hand one.

I miss my 99 reg corolla which never had any issues.

thanks,

Hello Simon - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

You should be able to get the part number and a price for the part by sending a personal message to Parts King (see the Community page, Sponsors Corner and Lindop Toyota) and giving details of your car (VIN if possible) and what you want.
