According to foreign media
reports, the new Toyota Avensis photos when road test at the nurburgring,
exposure, the new car is expected to be listed in 2016, the details will be
announced in a few months later.

From the point of the image of exposure, most
of the early development of bodywork with this model. But the different is that
the new front face of the new design, lean back head lamp is brand new.

In addition, the dynamic information is still
in a secret stage, it is understood that a new car can configure all kinds of
gasoline and diesel engines, or carrying a hybrid system.

The important thing for me as a company car driver renewing my Avensis D4D Tourer early in 2017 is the choice of engines. The 2 litre D4D is a good engine with long life but these days, 124 PS form a 2 litre Diesel engine seems pretty gutless, but as the engine is so low powered, it maybe works well within it's capacity leading to the long life. Also the emissions of 119 g/km from the Diesel engine is quite high compared to other modern Diesel engines.

My question is "Will there be a company car tax busting plug in hybrid with sub 50 g/km emissions to rival the new Passat hybrid due to be launched next year?"

Toyota will have a Hybrid in every model by 2020 so I would expect a hybrid version to be produced

The basic profile of the new car looks very similar to the current shape, but I guess the devil is in the detail ....... :)

Certainly the mule looks more like a facelift than a new car. That would be consistent with the implosion of the market for this class of car. Unless they can share the platform I doubt that they would want to invest a lot into something that only shifts 30,000 units a year.
