Aftermarket Stereo Head Wiring Parts Or Adapters Including Steering Co

Hi, I couldn't find any posts already laying this out.

Essentially I want to know what parts I will need to properly install an aftermarket stereo headset into my Toyota Auris 2011 (2007) T Spirit, and if possible instructions.

Ideally I'd like pictures or diagrams of the wiring so I can order the parts ahead of time & don't have to keep busting apart the dash, but mostly I just need to know key info.

1. What makes of stereo will work with the existing microphone and parts in the car?

2. What adapters or convertors will I need for the cables and connectors?

Including: Steering controls, microphone, Speakers, warning systems, etc

One aftermarket shop guy said most headsets would only work with their own brand mics and existing wiring would have to be replaced... but it's a microphone... it's fundamental basic technology surely that's bs?

Thank you people :)

Utterly brilliant, thank you!

What did you do with your microphone in the end? How does the aftermarket one compare?

I run the microphone wire through the dash and up the drivers side pillar and just have it sticking out at the moment.....

And the pioneer microphone is far better than the auris one....
