Could always consider a 12V car vacuum that plugs into a power socket. In the last week or so Tesco have had some Black & Decker 12V car vacs at half price - £14.50. Similar to these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Decker-12V-Auto-Dustbuster/dp/B007I1R7RS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1420657524&sr=8-3&keywords=12V+car+vacuum

Yeah I did consider it but mum gave me a rechargable dyson worth hundreds and works great! I have just plugged it into an inverter on a power pack and it is whirring away but the light on the vac is not on, hope not killing it!
