Brake Upgrades Anyone?

Hi everyone,

New to the forums, had the little Go-Kart for just under 2 years and recently decided to do some minor mods to it. So far fitted a set of OZ racing rims, got some 35mm H&R springs on their way, fitted a sharkerial, was looking into body kits but the one I really want can't seem to source in the UK easily, you know the GTR one.

Just wondering if any fellow members have upgraded their brakes and if so any recommendations?

Ady

I'd be interested in any braking improvements people are aware of as I do think they're a weak spot on the car.

Very similar wheels to my OZ-Racing F1 wheels, Good choice. :)

I fitted a full set of EBC Ultimax brakes to my very good but original brake discs. They are easily as good as the standard pads and seem positive and progressive in their use.

EBC also sell their Green Stuff pads to fit the iQ but I have them on my other, somewhat more powerful car and they are very good but come to life once they have some temperature in them. For road use on a light car like the iQ I think the Ultimax ones are fine.

Not sure what drilled or grooved discs are out there for the iQ?

Craig.

Thanks for the heads up Craig will look into those when mine need replacing.

Also just read your thread on the pioneer audio, was rather hoping be a simple mod, my fibreglass and painting skills are non existent haha.

Springs arrived from germany, slowly coming together now.

Time to hunt down those blue badges, not had much luck on eBay so far
