Rear lights - what to do?

So I think the rear lights are terrible

Do i tint them, put a film on them? buy replacement clear ones? (is that even possible?) Any other ideas?

Google search Avensis rear lights and look at the images. There are some changes during the model run. Avensis is not normally a car that is modified, so it will take some searching. 

I am not a fan of smoked lens, because the bulbs need to be a higher rating, and cannot be seen clearly, compared to normal light/lens. Plus the wiring and fittings need to take the current and heat of the higher wattage, and you need to inform insurance of the modification!
