Website issues

Has something on the website changed?

I can't post or edit anymore unless I disable javascript, which also means I can't use things like smileys (esp. since the old  -style of adding them doesn't seem to work anymore...!)

It was working fine the other day!!

Last week the site went to https from http as is an up coming requirement by the godfather google.

Not sure why you cannot post. is it still the same issue?? Not heard any issues apart from this one.

I will look at the smiley thing because I am surprised thats not working :confused1:

these seems to work by typing them in. This may be the issue with javascript you have,

Ooops, sorry, didn't see your reply (Another downside of having to use the site without javascript is I don't see notifications!)

Yeah, I don't know why; I am using an older browser, but I've always accessed the site through https so unless there was a script or CSS that went through http still that is now https and for some reason being blocked I can't think of why the site stopped working for me :S

Normally when browsing with javascript *on* I get the reply box below the posts with e.g.:
"Reply to this topic..." and when I click on it it expands and lets me type with smileys etc.

Since whatever happened happened, with javascript on I click on it and nothing happens! Also buttons like reply do nothing!!

If I turn javascript off, I get a text window that I can type into and the post buttons work, but obviously none of the toolbars for smileys, bold etc appear.

I did notice in the page's HTML header, there are a few SRCs that begin with // instead of https:// - I wonder if this is part of the cause...?

Yeah, I think there is a CSS or jscript that isn't being loaded somewhere; There is a property on these things called ipshide which keeps things collapsed, but whatever script/action that is supposed to unhide them when I click on them is not being triggered anymore...

Damned if I can untangle all the javascript to find where this is supposed to happen tho'!

Woo! I don't know what you've been doing but as of today it's started working properly again! I can use the site with javascript on and, more importantly, spam smileys again! :yahoo::thumbup::punk::notworthy::laughing::lol::clapping::clap::cheers:

Thanks so much for fixing that, it was a lot more awkward using this site in 1990's mode!

Hiii... site's stopped working properly for me again! ;_;

Not sure when, in the past week or 2 maybe? Same symptoms as before; I've had to go back to turning off javascript in order to post again! :(

I am consistently getting problems loading the forums - "took too long to respond". I am on BT 52Mb Infinity fibre & it is the only site causing issues.

I have tried multiple browsers  just in case it was a browser issue - it isn't.

We have had this issues for days. I have a tech looking at it as we speak. If all else fails then a new server will likely be on the cards.

Best come back during less busy period.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware that this issue has been ongoing for days & it is also occurring in the wee small (so hopefully less busy) hours.
