I am looking to fit a shark fin ariel to my 2008 Yaris and was wondering if anyone had done similar ?

Would the interior roof lining have to be removed ?

Stuart Hi, it's straight fwd job, for hatch backs. Pull Tailgate seal off at top, Roof lining should drop enough for you to access old Bee Sting fittings. make sure base area clean.

They are also available which use 3M tape to stick to the roof over the existing aerial base. It's just a matter of !Removed! off the existing beesting, securing the coaxial cable of the sharkfin to the screw terminal. Nuts and washer s are usually supplied to achieve this. Clean the roof area around he aerial base and remove the paper from the 3M strips and stick down - one shot only. I understand the radio reception is still good.

I haven't tried one , don't see the point! However, the Yaris has a slightly curved roof profile, so whatever you decide to buy, make sure that profile is catered for. Otherwise the new aerial will not sit correctly or could even distort the roof locally!
