I have just bought my daughter a 2011 Toyota aygo 

I can pair her phone to the bluetooth but how can I get it so instead of calling the phone number out of then when phone rings it’s says the persons name from her phone book

Have you seen/have this HERE page 15 tells you how to save contact by name

I've got the same system.

You need to add every number+name  to the contact list that you wish the system to recognise.  The system can't upload from a phones contact list.

Devon's link will see you good.

One thing that I've noticed is that the speech recognition struggles if the windows are open or if the the fan is up high.
