These are easy to do. Just need to remove the disc then carefully knock out the remainder of the stud. I have done it on other cars.

I forgot to add, when I had my Mk1 Avensis, I took the bearing hub off a post 2000 Mk1 with disc brakes similar to Mk2. Since I didn't need the hub anymore, I knocked out all the studs.

Cheers Konrad for reply,do you mean you can replace the studs without taking the hub off.It seems to me having looked closer that the hub has to come off

There should be enough room to replace the stud, without removing the hub. I did have the hub from another car. First try to remove the remaining bit of the broken stud. If necessary rotate the hub. If removal refitting is not possible with the hub in place, it only takes a few minutes and 4 bolts to remove the hub, unless galvanic corrosion has occurred Also the ABS connector will need to be disconnected!

I grabbed a photo of the T25 rear hub showing what to expect.

Just a quick note for anyone that may need to do this job.The wheel studs cannot be replaced without removing the rear wheel hub, unfortunately, having said that it is not the most difficult job to do.
