Alloy Rims - Tyres Leaking ?

Hi,

Due a couple of new tyres soon and one of the problems is that 3 of the 4 tyres loose pressure , 3 - 5  psi  over a few weeks.

Gather this can be caused by the tyres seal with the rim, corrosion ? ( no signs of any punctures)

Is there a known simple remedy to this that I can ask th tyre fitters to do; could it be as simple as a rub with some emery paper or needing a large lathe to produce a new edge ?

Hi,

Just mention it to them at the time.

They will clean up the rims before fitting the tyres.

They did mine a couple of weeks ago on the rears when I had the fronts changed.
