Surprising Scenario

Thought  we would try the auto version to erase traffic queue odours on occasion. 2 new 2021 Exclusives were available @ Toyota GB. I reserved one.

Test drive in E mode was acceptable. My Babe loves the Big Shift stick that mirrors her manual obsession.

All 2021 cars @ Dealers are registered as Demonstrators/ Courtesy cars & are not available for sale.

My Dealer has a mint 2021 X Play that is available next month.Toyota GB web site showed the correct image but my reserve was for the Aygo X..

GB apologised & helped me do a Nation wide search. No Toyota person argues with me when I say their Aygo Demonstrators are obsolete, particularly the Auto

.

Damn this Covid.

He probably wanted to say that he wanted to try out the new Aygo X with a slot machine, but the dealers only had the old type of Ayga available. At least that's how I understood it.

...and many of the 2021 registered Aygos are actually for sale at Dealers. I recently bought one, pre-registered 30/9/21 but when I collected 3wks ago she had just 4 miles on the clock. Technically a used car (one previous owner - the Dealer..) but actually brand new...and at a discount! I don't want the Aygo X so, for me, this was a great opportunity.

It's end of production for the Aygo (late 2021 was the last off the line), the New Aygo X doesn't come out to March/April 2022 iirc they opened orders in December

Quite a few dealers are having "Special" events this time of year, perhaps you mistook an invitation to one of these events, in place of a test drive for the upcoming Aygo X

I did the same, purchased an X-trend which was registered in July 2021 but mine had 1400 miles on the clock.  Other than a small scrape on the offside edge of the front bumper there was not a mark on it.   Traded in a nine year old Honda CRV and ended up having to pay so little cash it was more a swap than a purchase.  Only had it for six days so far but I am loving it.
