Hi all.......the short time I have participated in this forum has proved beneficial on many fronts.

Does anyone have a view on the new Toyota forum I was invited to join recently ?

Notice several regulars feature on both platforms.

However I remain a fan of this owners club.

Final query regarding direct messaging (D/M) from either forum.

Should I wish to pursue a related subject or query off topic how do I D/M a member ?

Thanks in anticipation.......Barry Wright, Lancashire.

You hover the mouse pointer over their forum name, and a menu pops up with a "message" option.

Certainly as a new member I've found this forum very useful and informative.

I came from a line of Landrovers and Volvos to my RAV4 hybrid so a bit apprehensive as you can imagine.

Good to see that there is a Toyota following and increases my interest and awareness of my new vehicle 👍

Probably means;

askanowner.Toyota.co.uk

there are a number of cars supported, it’s pretty basic but Toyota suggest there are things in the pipe line to improve on the offering.  A number of the people who have joined seem to think that they will get direct access to Toyota UK but there is little to suggest that this will happen.

Cannot speak for the other forum.

On Toyota Owners Club, another way is use the four buttons in the top toolbar:

+Create - allows one to create an announcement, topic, etc

Bell symbol - allows one to view notifications

Envelope symbol - allows one to create a Personal Message to another forum member

Warning triangle - allows one to report something to the moderators (eg spam, etc)

As regards the other forum, this is a customer user group operated by a contractor (Mosskind).

The two forums are definitely chalk and cheese both in terms of functionality and contributions. The knowledge depth and contributions on here is without doubt exponential in comparison.

Yes Ernie - a bit clunky (certainly not as polished a website).

I tend to review this forum every few days, the other, every few weeks. Says it all really.

I try and get on at least a couple of times a day.

I'll like popping down to the local. Why go anywhere else??

I have been popping in here multiple times a day since buying a Aygo a few weeks ago and discovering the forum.  The only other forum I use is related to computer generated art which is a hobby of mine.  I have no other social media profiles so that says a lot about this forum.
