Hi all. One question I can't find online is if its ok to drive my Estima to the Mot centre even though it is unregistered? What is the law on this? If this has already been answered on here could you link me to it? THanks

On the basis that you can't register or tax the vehicle without an MOT, and not everyone has access to a trailer or similar, then as long as you've got a pre-arranged test, then it shouldn't be an issue. Should you get pulled up by the police as long as you have proof of your MOT appointment it will be OK. 👍

The car needs to be insured by VIN, make sure you are carrying all your documents including licence with you to a pre arranged MOT

I think you’ll need to accept there is a risk to this action.

Don't you have to register it with DVLA first?

DVLA require an MOT in order to register an imported vehicle.

MOT can be done on the VIN alone, you just enter it manually on the DVSA system
