Corolla MY22 built in compass; misbehaving with Waze ?

Anyone else seen this? My MY22 Corolla GR Sport 1.8 has the heads up display, so unless I use the adaptive cruise, the compass is always displayed. This works perfectly using the built in Sat Nav, or Google Maps or Apple Maps via CarPlay, but if I use the Waze sat nav, the compass freezes?  Anyone else seen this? I assume a software bug, but not seen any updates yet.

Thanks.

No. I disabled the compass in settings, couldn't see the point of it to be honest.

Thanks, wasn't aware it could be disabled! Will look through menus again.

It used to freeze with CarPlay until Apple did an update.

That compass is a waist of space, next time I'm in the chariot I'll have a look at mine.

Mike did you replace the compass for something else or is there just a blank space

Cannot remember where it was on the screen to be honest. Have the eco meter set there which is of more use.
