Android Auto with Spotify

Hi , hope this is allowed, my 2019 has android auto, I have an issue with Spotify, if I say " ok Google play Livin' on a prayer by Bon Jovi " it selects it on the screen BUT it doesn't play !!! I have to manually press the play button ....

Has anyone had this ? If so how do I get it to play straight away , thanks

Have you ensured Google has Spotify as your default music player?

When you're not driving, say "OK Google open assistant settings" or open Android Auto settings on your phone and click on Google Assistant.

Scroll down to music and check Spotify.

If you've already done that then I have nothing else to suggest I'm afraid.
