RAV4 or Across?

I have am close to buying a new or nearly new RAV4, but my attention was caught by the Suzuki Across.  The new prices seem to be fairly comparable, for a similar spec, but for a year old example, the Suzuki seems to offer much better value.  In other words, it seems to depreciate faster.  Does anyone have any thoughts on why this should be?

The Across is a RAV4 PHEV with a different Badge and slightly different face. Mechanically they are the identical and both are built on the same production line.

One has a Suzuki Badge, the other a Toyota Badge and 10 year Relax warranty and I rather suspect that answers your question.

I was just going to post the exact same thing.
While I have no problem with the Suzuki Badge the warranty would swing it for me every time.

It’s a coin toss decision unless the additional warranty is important. Perhaps if buying on finance the interest rate may swing it too? If neither of those bother you then go for the best deal. Dont worry about the Suzuki not having sat nav, its rubbish so you ain’t missing anything!
