Yaris cross roof rack (JPN/AUS)

Hi all,

I’m based in Australia and am looking at purchasing a Yaris Cross however I can’t seem to find any official Roof Rack for the car.
I believe our model differs from the UK and is similar to the Japanese model our at least made in Japan

On the website it doesn’t show a Roof Rack protruding like the Corolla Cross GXL
I know you can get roof racks that slide under the door however in Australia I don’t see any official listing (Third party available)

Interestingly enough Toyota offer an official bike rack for the Yaris, Corolla hatch etc but not the Yaris Cross
Rhino-Rack offer a third party Roof Rack for the “TOYOTA Yaris Cross Gen1 5dr SUV Bare Roof” (Sounds like the Australian model) but I’m a bit hesitant to use a Third Party roof rack on a brand new car. Do you know if this would cause any warranty issues etc?

Another option would be to get a Corolla Cross GXL. However the Yaris Cross would be perfect if it could have a roof rack as I don’t need the extra size and price point of the Corolla Cross. Happy to hear your thoughts

The main difference between Yaris, Corolla  hatchback and your car is the roof rails that you have as is an suv model.
Perhaps you need to look for one that comes for estate cars like Corolla touring sport we have here in  UK and Europe. These cars comes with similar design roof rails and they do offer roof racks to be attached. I can’t say Corolla TS will fit your car for sure but these are things to note when looking for a Roof Rack. Another thing is that all roof racks are third party manufacturer as I believe Toyota doesn’t do these themselves but some independent companies supply them so it is not a problem to buy and use non genuine accessories as long as they are quality made and come from a well known brand.
