You should be able to do it yourself. You may need access to a welder though. Its really only a case of disconnecting the drivers part of the mechanism, then shortening the crank on the bottom of the passenger wiper so that it sweeps through an arc of about 170 degrees. You can work out how much you need to shorten the crank with a little trigonometry, you'll need to measure the arc that the wiper makes now and the length of the crank. It would be a good idea to get a wiper spindle off a scrapper to play with, you only need the spindle for the passenger side as your existing motor will connect straight to it once you've modified it.

<_< also,if the single wiper wont clear enough of the screen area could warrant a MOT fail! :(

Ive seen cars like Mercs with single wipers which are on a cam type mechanism which as the are sweeping, reach up into the corners of the windscreen. This ideally what you should go for.

my brother modded his on his saxo so that the one middle blade covered to whole screen!

trouble was you need to mod it to cover a larger distance therefore the speed of the arm increased dramitically.

it used to fly that quickly smashing at either end missing the windscreen!
