Growling Noise When Changing Gear

Has anybody experienced what can be discribed as a "growling noise" when changing gear in 1-3rd gear??

nope I normally use second in between :)

The only growling I get comes from under the bonet, around about 7000 - 8000 RMP mark. And I like it.

I must be honest though I have never heard anything from the gearbox. :o

isnt that the engine dropping revs in between gears?

also what car doe you have that does 8000 RPM's??

corolla ts - 2zzge engine, red line at 8,200 rpm ;-)

Corolla T definately does 8200rpm, or my needles bent
