evenin all, have just bought my 1st car, Celica 5th Gen 2.0 GTi and felt i better register here as you all seem to have some good advice to offer!

1st i should check to see the engine type i have (i think its a 3S GE - if thats right) and on the speed dial it reads max 110mph. i read on this forum that theres a chance my car could be limited as to what speed it could do and so readin 110mph on the dial. i was thinking about puttin in a nice dial at some stage, and it got me wondering - if i changed the dial to one that read top speed 150mph for example, would i get a true speed representation? is the needle calibrated in any way thus any dial i get that fits (ideally celica 91 model) should b ok?

this ones a bit difficult to explain what i am meaning hopefully i havent pickled anyone

i would b grateful for anyone that has any advice.
