Verso 1.8 Vvti Rpm

Hi,

my dad recently read a about the Corolla Verso 1.8 VVTi that the engines runs 4000 rpm at 120 km/h (75mph). That is about 3300 rpm at 100km/h (62mph) wich is a lot for a quit powerfull 1.8 to my opinion. My Avensis 2.0VVTi runs 2500 rmp at 100km/h.

Can anyone confirm this?

Hi There -

I have the 1.6 and at 120km/h, the revs are just below 3500rpm in 5th.

I would think that the 1.6 and 1.8 use the same manual box.
