well there is a 7 mile difference going via the M6 rather than the M62,M1,A1 route.

Due to nasty roadworks at Junc 6 on the M6, may I suggest that from sanbach coffee shop you get off at Junc 15, and take the A50, take this to Junc 24 on the M1, then just a short stint south to the A14 to P'borogh.

the road works have now gone. i drove up the m6 from the m1 on sunday

However the A50/A500 route from junc15 is a lovely long stretch of dual carriageway.. which might be nice to convoy along :P

Either way it sounds good.. I'll be posting up in my NW section on MR2OC methinks :)

I've just got back from Buckingham and there is definatly no tarmac on the M6 between J9-8 and Junc 7-6, 40mph with specs right the way through!

the A50 is a diamond of a road really fast but noisey cos its on concrete.

Never mind the fast bit, my car wieghs two ton remember, it was bad enough coming back from Germany at a constant 85mph towing a car!!!
