2000 Corolla Stereo Problems

The power button on the facia of my stereo console of my corolla broke. Rather than Shell out on a repair / replacement, i fixed it myself. However now all of the buttons on the console except for the power button and the volume control have stopped working. I tried resetting it by removing the earth lead from the Battery but no joy. Does anyone know of any sort of reset that I can perform or have I bust it??

I have the same problem on my 2000 1.4 Corolla (previous shape).

How did you remove the radio which is flush in the dashboard ?
