Just Wanted To Say Hello To The Uk Toyota Owners

Hello there!

My name is Dmitry and I am from Moscow, Russia.

I drive Avensis sedan '04. 2.4L, AT...

I am in France now, studying in a business school in a tiny town Nancy..I found this forum while searching for a french Toyota Avensis club. It seems that there is not such a club here :( I was thinking of participating in the club meetings probably...

My car is unique here as they don't sell gasoline powered engine 2.4L avensis' here. So I feel myself quite fast comparing to the diesel french "save more money" avensis cars. At the same time I wish I had a 1.6L avensis here when I am at the petrol station spending 75 euro for a full tank :)

I have been to the UK a few times and spent in London like four summers. Love your country a lot :)

I wish I could participate in your club meetings...but I have to get a visa to be able to cross the boarder. And a UK visa would cost around 100 quid for a russian citizen.

My toyota is here with me in France. I made the whole trip from Russia to France (thru Poland, Belarus and Germany). That was almost 2000 miles. German "autobahns" are massive. No speed limit. Unfortunately I had three bikes on the roof and the car was stuffed with clothes and stuff so running faster than 100 mph was a pain...

My girfriend also did the driving so it was not that painful.

So hello my english friends! Nice to meet you!

Cheers,

Dmitry
