Hi,

I am 6 foot 2 inches tall and just wondering if any other tall drivers here find the Auris fine to drive, comfy or just plain uncomfrotable?

Thanks for any info,

T.

I'm 6'3" 80Kg (12.5st) and there's plenty of room to be honest, well certainly for my height.

Obviously there would be less room for a 6'3 stockily built person to a 6'3 skinny person.

I am also 6'2" and I haven't had any problems. I slide the seat all the way to the back and use it in a lower position, pretty comfortable for me. Also some people complain about their knees, bumping to the middle panel(the one on the middle with gear stick on it) because of it's high location but I don't have that problem, at all. How can your knee touch that high when your foot is on the throttle pedal and leg is stretched forward, really?

Anyway, pretty comfy in my experience... Although if another 6'2" sits in the back seat, behind me, he has to go Buddha all the way! Not much knee space you know. :D

I think our driver seat is on the other side in the UK (left hand drive) and it is the clutch foot with the possible issues. Best test drive it.

A friend of mine rented one to drive to germany instead of his mkiii supra, got in promtly bashed his knee on the flimsy centre console an cracked all the plastic.

He said it was very uncomfortable due to his height.... but can't rember how tall he is.. which doesn't help! Best bet is to test drive one I guess!

I'm 6'1 and have no problems at all, was concerned as came from a 4x4 to an auris, but had no incident yet!

I'm 6'2" and find the Auris just about OK, although I would prefer it if the seat went lower. I have never had a problem with my left knee and the centre consul, but must admit that I sometimes need to use the cruise control so that I can move my right leg around. Overall not quite as comfortable as my previous car, a Vectra, but an acceptable compromise as we were after a smaller car.

I'm 6'5" and 120kg; I was looking to change my Corolla TSport and looked at the Auris; Although I could fit; I found the top of the seat wasnt supportive around my shoulder area so subsequently didnt get one...

Now got a Honda Civic Type-S which is more comftable :)

I know this is an old thread, but I have a slightly technical question to all.

Being typical Dutch I am quite long: I am not very well-known with the imperial system, but my guess is I'm about 6'5”. Luckily, the seats of my 2013 Auris slides back quite a distance.

Last weekend, I drove the new VW Golf of a friend of mine. I noticed how comfortable it was that the steering wheel could be pulled back very close to me, which made the car very, very comfortable for me as a tall person.

My question: does anybody know if it is possible to make the steering column of the Auris extends even more? Even the slightest distance is a win for me. Isn't there a locking bolt or something like that with which I can adjust the steering wheel just that little bit?
