Little Help Please

I have got some tar substance on one of the wheel embellishers on my Prius. I tried to remove the embellisher to clean it. I am told they just pull off. I could not remove any of the embellishers on my car. Is there any easy way to get them off without damaging them. I thought of easing them off with a screwdriver but I was frightened of causing damage. Perhaps I need a bit more pulling power in my arms??? Any help appreciated.

Not that I know much about them being a new owner, but to ask a stupid question....have you taken off the wheel to remove the hubcaps?

From what it looks like, they're held on by the bolts that are used to hold the wheels on.

Maybe?!?!

I am told you just pull them off by my local Toyota garage? Maybe the person told me wrong??? It was over the phone.

Now that I look at them again, the person on the phone is right. You don't need to undo the bolts to remove them. Hope you haven't taken off the wheel!

I've notice one of the "legs" has a gap to fit a screwdriver or something similar. So I'd say a bit of "delicate" brute force and ignorance should see you through.
